Hey Packer Fans,
Your Prez here. Below is an email we received from a fellow Packer fan who has written a book I think you may find interesting. Please read on and check out the links. We don’t often promo people or sites directly on the NWPB page but Jerry and I thought this was a unique case and Linda has shared in our NWPB experience. It also might make a great Christmas gift too!
Cheers,
G
This is Linda Lange. I don’t know if you’ll remember me, but I partied with the Northwest Packer Backers on two occasions several years ago when I was in Seattle visiting my son — once at the Mustard Seed and once in a snowy parking lot before a game at Qwest Field.
I’m e-mailing to tell you that I wrote a Packer-themed book, and I hope you’ll share that news with the club. “Incomplete Passes: Reflections on Life, Love, and Football” is a memoir about four Green Bay women whose 50-year friendship started because of their mutual infatuation with the Packers. Since the late 1990s, we’ve returned to Wisconsin annually to renew our ties and take in a game. The book is full of Green Bay atmosphere and Packers history, but it also has universal themes such as coming of age, reconnecting with friends, and coping with aging. It should have appeal for anyone who loves the Packers, but especially for female fans.
You can check the book out on amazon.com or bn.com:

My son still lives in Seattle, but unfortunately I have no plans to vist there any time soon. However, I’d be happy to mail you a copy if you’d like to raffle it off at one of your events. Please let me know whether you want it, and where to send it, at incompletepasses@yahoo.com.
I think you have a terrific fan club — wish we had a group like that here in Cincinnati, my current home. I hope to see you all again in the not-too-distant future. Thanks for your interest in “Incomplete Passes.”
Sincerely,
Linda Lange
